Membership

The first meeting of the VIA was held April 26, 1895, with 14 women present. Since that time the VIA has grown in size and scope to its present membership of 300+ members.

Some of the benefits of belonging to the VIA include:

  • Participating in the community, its improvement, growth and change
  • Pursuing cultural and artistic interests
  • Giving back a variety of sectors in Central Bucks and surrounding communities
  • Sharing in the camaraderie of others and thereby finding that the community in which we reside is a place in which we truly “live”

Join the VIA

Involvement in the Village Improvement Association of Doylestown is a way to make a difference in our community. We invite you to join the VIA and be involved.
We greatly appreciate the time and service of our active members.

Annual membership dues are used to support the mission of the VIA and the James-Lorah Memorial Home. Payment before July 1 gives renewing members the privilege to vote in all elections and key decisions, and to be included in the Membership Directory. New members will have voting privileges regardless of joining date.

We ask that both new and renewing members also complete an application. This application ensures that we have current contact information and an understanding of how you would like to be engaged int he organization’s activities.
