The James-Lorah Auditorium continues the rich history of the James’ family home’s reputation
in
Doylestown Borough as a gathering place for civic, musical, and literature functions.

Host your next event in the heart of the Borough of Doylestown.  The James-Lorah Auditorium, attached to the historic James-Lorah Memorial Home, is available for your own special occasion whether it is a party, business, or social event. The acoustics are excellent for musical performances or recording sessions. The 2,275-square-foot auditorium has a raised stage and holds a maximum of 144.

Auditorium rental includes:

  • Folding chairs
  • 6’ and 8’ folding tables and card tables
  • Caretaker on site
  • State of the art audio/visual system
  • Grand piano
  • Full kitchen
  • Fully air conditioned

Free parking is available at the Bucks County Parking Garage, one block from the venue. Also, metered street parking.

  • All functions must conclude by 11:30 p.m.
  • The auditorium is fully air-conditioned.
  • Non-alcoholic, non-political, and non-religious events only.

Reservation fees are used to preserve and maintain this historic home.
