The hunt is on! Since 1971, Designer House visitors have enjoyed a quintessential Bucks County experience, highlighting our area’s rich history, unique architecture, and bucolic landscape. To continue this long tradition, the VIA is seeking a property within a 20-minute drive of Doylestown Hospital featuring a large older home, outbuildings such as barns, sheds or cottages and an abundance of flat, open grounds for parking and event tents. Tour the beautiful James-Lorah Memorial Home, the headquarters of the VIA of Doylestown, and see how Sarah James and her sister, Martha James Lorah celebrated the holidays in their youth. In her will, Ms. James donated the mansion and all its contents, including gorgeous furnitire, silver, china, dresses, and much, much more, to the Village Improvement Association. We're delighted to share this return to the Gilded Age with you!
