February 5 - March 1

Help support the Village Improvement Association’s many charities AND support yourself with gorgeous spring flowers that will arrive just in time to brighten your spring holidays. You will have a choice of flowers (tulips, daffodils, or geraniums) and colors. All selections are large 6 inch pots.

ORDERING: Pre-orders with payment only. Click HERE to display and print the order form. Send it and your payment to arrive at the VIA Office no later than March 1, 2021, for the April 1, 2021 delivery. (VIA Members: See additional ordering options in the February VIA newsletter.)

CONTACTLESS PICKUP INSTRUCTIONS: We are following Doylestown Hospital’s recommended COVID protections for pickup. On April 1, pull into the driveway by the Wound Care Center entrance to Doylestown Hospital. Remain in your car and one of our volunteers will come to get your name and then deliver the flowers to your vehicle’s trunk or back seat.

Proceeds benefit our historic organizational headquarters, the James-Lorah Memorial Home, which is named for the last two families who resided there. This beautiful mansion was the home for 85 years of Miss Sarah Maria James, a charter member of the Village Improvement Association, and her sister Martha (James) Lorah. Doctor and Martha Lorah predeceased Sarah, who inherited the estate. Miss Sarah James bequeathed the 17-room residence, its entire contents, and a trust fund for maintenance to the VIA upon her death. Learn more about the house by clicking HERE.
