Enhancing the Health and Welfare
of Central Bucks County and Surrounding Communities
The VIA is an active organization that relies on continued member-and-community support to hold events that engage our constituents. It offers educational programs at monthly meetings and fundraising events. Consider attending a meeting, enjoying an event or lending a hand to make it all happen. Membership meetings are held monthly October through June. Each meeting begins with an information or entertaining presentation and is then followed with on overview of VIA recent and upcoming activities.
The Medal of Honor is the United States government’s highest and most prestigious military decoration. It recognizes American military heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of valor under heavy fire or threats to their lives. The Medal is normally awarded by the President of the United States in the name of the United States Congress, and the criteria for its receipt are rigorous. At our November 7 Petite Luncheon, you will learn the history of the Medal of Honor and the stories of amazing individuals who received it.
Herb Kaufman has lectured on American history for more than 20 years. Herb has presented numerous programs to civic and community groups, and educational and historical associations throughout the Philadelphia area.
Our November luncheon commemorates Veterans Day and will be sponsored by the VIA Veterans, Floral Arts, and Program Committees. The Floral Arts Committee will be preparing patriotic centerpieces for our luncheon tables. This Luncheon is very popular and reservations are accepted in order of receipt, so please respond promptly if you would like to attend. You may pay by mail or online using the links below.

The VIA’s Veterans Committee supports the mission of the VIA by providing information on military issues to the VIA membership and by collecting VIA donations for distribution to selected military charities. The Committee meets 3-4 times each club year to plan activities, review and recommend veteran charities to support and coordinate participation in local VIA and veteran events. All donations are sent to military/veterans’ charities.
