Enhancing the Health and Welfare
of Central Bucks County and Surrounding Communities
The VIA is an active organization that relies on continued member-and-community support to hold events that engage our constituents. It offers educational programs at monthly meetings and fundraising events. Consider attending a meeting, enjoying an event or lending a hand to make it all happen. Membership meetings are held monthly October through June. Each meeting begins with an information or entertaining presentation and is then followed with on overview of VIA recent and upcoming activities.
A Woman’s Place (AWP) is sponsoring Domestic Violence Awareness Month this October. AWP is thrilled to be a part of the movie premiere of HIDE, written and directed by Doylestown native Ben Samuels. It is a “contained psychological thriller capturing the terror and dread of emotional gaslighting as a resilient wife fights to escape her abusive husband during the pandemic lockdown.” Filmed largely in Doylestown, Ben has cast a spotlight on the complexities of domestic violence through the eyes of one survivor. The movie’s premiere will happen at the County Theater in Doylestown on Sunday, October 1st at 7:00 pm. AWP is partnering with Ben Samuels to raise funds for AWP to bring awareness. A Q & A session will be held afterward. Tickets for this AWP fundraiser are available online at the County Theater: HIDE – Sun 1 Oct 7:00 PM – County Theater (veezi.com) The trailer for HIDE can be found here: County Theater – HIDE
