Dedicated to patient safety and high-quality care, Doylestown Hospital was nationally recognized as one of only 45 Top General Hospitals and is a recipient of a Grade A rating in patient safety by The Leapfrog Group, the nation’s premier advocate of hospital safety and transparency. In 2018, the hospital was recognized by U.S. News and World Report as one of the best hospitals in the region and has received several awards for excellence in care.
Doylestown Health is growing to meet needs of its local and regional communities. ONE VISION: The Campaign for Doylestown Health boldly transforms the Doylestown Hospital campus through new signature buildings: the state-of-the-art Cardiovascular and Critical Care Pavilion, the Outpatient Pavilion housing the Ambulatory Surgery Center and the Clark Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, and a new “Hub” for the Pine Run Retirement Community. New, expanded surgical suites will allow expert surgeons to harness the latest technological innovations and perform lifesaving, breakthrough medicine.
These expansions and improvements are the result of comprehensive strategic planning by the health system, with a goal to meet and exceed the community’s expectations for healthcare and retirement living services.
In addition to innovative programs for heart and vascular services, orthopedic care and cancer treatment, Doylestown Health offers a full range of services with maternity care, pediatrics, home health and hospice, emergency care and more.
New in 2017, Doylestown Health Urgent Care is easily accessible for quick treatment of illness and injury by Doylestown Health physicians, 365 days a year.
A key component of Doylestown Health is the Pine Run Retirement Community. With 272 cottages and 24 apartments, situated on a 43-acre landscaped campus, Pine Run provides an active and engaging lifestyle for Villagers with shared and diverse interests. The Pine Run Health Center is a 90-bed skilled nursing facility offering transitional and long-term care.
Along with rehabilitation, hospice and respite services, the Pine Run Health Center also offers a separate and secure personal care dementia and Alzheimer’s neighborhood. Pine Run Lakeview is a 107-bed personal care center that includes a secure dementia care neighborhood.
Children’s Village offers early childhood education programs, while the Doylestown Hospital Surgery Center help round out a full array of services offered by Doylestown Health and its physicians.
Doylestown Health was founded in 1923 by the Village Improvement Association of Doylestown (VIA) and continues to be governed by the VIA. Doylestown Hospital Home and Hospice Care was the first healthcare service established by the VIA and carries on the 100-year tradition of providing compassionate care
